Some researchers such as Paivio (1969) and Mayer (2003) says that humans can process information through two basic channels of communication, i.e. verbal (audio) and visual (text, still images or animated) [4] [6]. The application of multimedia technology is very supportive of this verbal and visual communication, as it combines the sounds, images, text and movement that if implemented properly can give a clear meaning, interesting senses and enables a deeper understanding [7-9]. This allows multimedia technologies applied in various fields in the form of collaborative, interactive, simulation and others [10] to support the users get the information and learn something new. In education, for example, the use of multimedia technology is very appropriate to describe the concept that difficult to explain with conventional learning methods, such as in school subjects such as mathematics, physics, languages and other [11-15].
In addition, multimedia provides the opportunity for educators to develop learning techniques so as to produce maximum results [16]. Multimedia-based applications can also be intended for pre-school age children to build and establish their motor system [9] and even implemented at the university level, for example in learning algorithms of stack and queue on data structures [17], the learning image processing courses [11] and network security [18]. Multimedia applications are also used in the medical field to study Parkinson’s disease [19], in the horticultural field [20] and to promote and preserve local culture [21]. Based on those reviews, then in this research, we reveal an idea to introduce one of Indonesian traditional weapon, Kujang which is very rarely explored as cultural heritage by using multimedia approach.
In design system will be presented the hierarchy of storyboards. This section describes some examples of storyboards of the application.
At multimedia-based applications typically there are storyboards that visualize the overall design of entire project in the form of screen by screen, come with an explanation and specification of each screen [27]. The most important in making a storyboard is still following the design of navigation map. The goal of making a storyboard is to not deviate and obscurity in the formation of the application [28]. In addition if an error occurs, the explanation becomes easier and faster.

To determine the extent to which the introduction of Kujang weapons applications can help users recognize and explore Kujang weapons, then the application testing is done generally of the respondent. Tests conducted with a random sample using a questionnaire. Questionnaire was used to determine how far the multimedia elements that are used both in the text, images, sounds and animations can support the delivery of information about traditional weapon Kujang. In addition the questionnaire used to determine how the ease of use of the application and how far the user can recognize the traditional weapon Kujang by the application that has been built.
